Heil...

Nazi jokes. Funny. Two unmixey things.

If someone made a rule that said no more nazi jokes, you'd think no-one would complain, wouldn't you?

But people don't see the purpose of the new rule, or think it's "too specific." Or:

"I don't exactly think this is a fair rule. It's not about Nazis or Hitler or Jewish people at all that I see this rule as unfair. It's the fact that we're now banned from saying certain things.

People get over offended at way too many things now. I understand how people can get upset over somethings, but getting others banned from places and people sueing people all over seems ridiculous to me.

I completely understand why this rules is here. The halocaust and all that is a serious issue. But now we can't make Nazi or Hitler jokes, a specification because some people are being offended. I never made any jokes about them to begin with, but everybody's going to be offended at something at sometime.

Now that we've got a rule prohibiting the use of jokes about Nazis or Hitler, a lot of which make fun of the Nazis or Hitler, what's to stop there from being a rule about. . . making blonde jokes or something? Just an example.

I just feel this is something like a gateway rule to nobody being allowed to talk about what they want to because it might offend others.

What's the definition of fascism? I don't really know, but I think it has something to do with the entire society sharing one point of view or something like that."

WTF? If one doesn't even know what fascism means, then how can you decide if it's offensive or not?

I am martral lineage Jewish, and though I am non-practising and atheist, I still have family who died in and were put at risk by the Holocaust. I've seen the pictures. I've been to Anne Franks house and seen the photo of the statue of the little Jewish girl - who was murdered for no reason - with a neo-Nai scrawl on in.

Don't you think there is a reason for not wanting anymore ignorant joking about a very sensitive issue?
